A family is seeking a warm, kind and emotionally supportive visiting carer to provide bedtime assistance to their 96-year-old relative, Kath. Kath has arthritis and dementia, and very poor mobility. The carer will be part of Kath's existing care team, providing additional support with evening routines and personal care. This role would suit someone who is excellent at reassuring people and helping them feel safe and understood.
WORKING PATTERN: Tuesday to Friday. 9pm til 9:30-9:45pm
Key responsibilities

The carer will visit the client's home and have the following responsibilities:
• Support with hygiene and toileting needs
• Help the client to get around the home safely
• Provide friendly companionship and reassurance
• Assist with bedtime routine
• Help look after the client's small, friendly sausage dog (letting the dog out and putting it to bed)
About the client

AGE: 96
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Arthritis and dementia
MOBILITY: Very poor. The client is unable to walk unaided but can stand with support.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The client already has a care plan in place with another provider. This role provides additional evening support that is not currently available from their existing care team.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Care Certificate
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Fluent spoken English
• Ability to provide warm, compassionate care
