Location: Hall Orchard CE Primary School, Barrow upon Soar Start Date: ASAPJoin Our Vibrant, Busy, and Fun Clubs!We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Deputy After School Club Lead to support the day-to-day running of our wraparound care provision.Working closely with the Club Lead, you will help provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 3–11. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality play opportunities while also supporting the smooth organisation and operation of the club.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with childcare or playwork experience who is ready to step into a role with greater responsibility and leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the organisation and daily running of the clubPlan and deliver fun, creative, and inclusive play activitiesDeputise for the Club Lead, including supervising staff when requiredEnsure all safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies are followedMaintain accurate records, including attendance, medical information, and contactsBuild positive relationships with children, parents, and carersPromote an inclusive environment that values diversity and meets all children’s needsOperational ResponsibilitiesEnsure First Aid kits are regularly checked and fully stockedPrepare snacks in advance in line with Food Hygiene standardsReceive and store weekly food deliveries, ensuring correct storage and date checksMonitor stock levels and report restocking needs to the Club LeadEnsure all equipment is safe, suitable, and in good working orderCheck that adequate supplies are available for planned activitiesWhat We’re Looking ForWe are seeking someone who:Has experience working with children aged 3–11Holds a Level 3 childcare/playwork qualification (or equivalent)Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protectionCan deliver engaging, play-based activitiesHas strong communication and organisational skillsCan work effectively as part of a team and lead when requiredIs reliable, proactive, and enthusiasticPaediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates are desirable (or willingness to obtain).What We Offer What We OfferA friendly, supportive, and welcoming school environmentOpportunities for ongoing training and professional developmentA rewarding role supporting children’s development and wellbeingA collaborative and dedicated staff teamHow to ApplyPlease apply via Eteach by completing the application form.For further details or to arrange a visit, please contact Rebecca Harrison - LeadClosing Date: 5 May 2026 - 9am
