The Role: Impact Your Community
Based out of Edinburgh Courts, you will play a vital role in the Scottish Justice System.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Welfare & Security: Ensure the dignity, care, and safety of individuals in your custody.
- Professional Liaison: Work closely with police and court authorities, managing essential risk assessments and legal documentation.
- Internal Growth: We prioritise internal promotion—many of our current managers started as Custody Officers at this very base.
- Safe Transit: Transport prisoners between courts, police stations, and prisons throughout the region
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need prior experience in the justice sector—we provide full, comprehensive training. We are looking for:
- Driving Credentials: A full UK Driver’s Licence is essential. (Please highlight if you already hold a Category C1 licence.
- Reliability: A trustworthy individual who takes pride in a stable, essential role.
- Communication: The ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in a fast-paced environment.
- Fitness: A basic level of physical fitness and flexibility to meet safety requirements.
