Summary
Provide flexible, as-needed support based on theatre scheduling and service demands. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the operating theatre and equipment before surgery. Assist the surgical team during procedures as scrub, circulator, recovery and anaesthetic assistant. Monitor patients vital signs and condition throughout the perioperative period. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided. Adhere to infection control and health & safety protocols. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families. Participate in audits, training, and continuous professional development. Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and clinical excellence. Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration OR Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with a valid HCPC registration. Previous experience in a theatre or perioperative setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
