Summary

Clinical and Specialist Practice Act as a specialist resource on resuscitation and the deteriorating patient, providing expert advice to multidisciplinary teams. Maintain clinical credibility through active participation in the Resuscitation Team and attendance at cardiac arrest calls. Promote best practice in cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with Resuscitation Council UK guidance. Education, Training and Workforce Development Deliver and support high-quality resuscitation training programmes (BLS, ILS, ALS) for all relevant staff groups. Contribute to the design, planning and evaluation of education programmes to meet organisational and national standards. Identify training needs and support the development of learning resources and cascade trainers. Support teaching, supervision and development of staff, including students and newly appointed colleagues. Clinical Governance and Patient Safety Support the collection, analysis and reporting of cardiac arrest and training data to inform quality improvement. Contribute to audit, incident review and learning from resuscitation events. Assist in the development, review and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines related to resuscitation. Promote safe, ethical decision-making in relation to DNACPR and ReSPECT processes. Leadership and Collaboration Provide professional leadership and act as a role model, promoting a culture of safety, learning and continuous improvement. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Trust sites to ensure consistent standards of practice. Contribute to local, regional and national networks to share learning and best practice. Professional Accountability Maintain professional registration and comply with the relevant professional code of practice. Participate in appraisal, supervision and continuous professional development. Work in accordance with Trust policies, including equality, diversity and inclusion.
