Summary

ADL Roofing & Distributors Ltd is an established supplier of roofing products. We are currently looking to recruit a trade counter sales assistants to work at our branch in Rainford.

We’re looking for a personable and welcoming individual who can engage confidently with customers, understand their needs, and deliver excellent service in a positive manner.

In this role, you’ll be an important part of selling our complete range of Roofing & Building Materials, so prior experience working on a trade counter or within the building industry would be desirable.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Support customers in-store as well as via telephone enquiries
• Provide helpful service and clear, accurate advice on products
• Create and supply quotations based on customer needs
• Order materials and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Skills and Experience

You’ll be part of a supportive, team-focused environment with regular interaction with customers, so it’s important you’re someone who creates a positive impression and consistently delivers reliable service and advice. A motivated, proactive attitude is key, along with:

• Previous sales experience in a merchant or similar setting is beneficial, though full training can be provided
• Knowledge of building materials or supplies would be an advantage
• Confidence when engaging with customers in a variety of situations
• Strong relationship-building skills to encourage repeat business
• Clear communication skills, both over the phone and face to face
• Comfortable using computers and standard systems

Part-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the possibility of additional hours when needed.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
