Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent Building Site Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety standards on construction sites. This role involves ensuring the site remains tidy, debris-free, and compliant with health and safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth progress of building projects. Applicants should be organised, reliable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. End of site cleans also. Paye position. MUST HAVE CSCS CARD
Responsibilities
Clearing waste, debris, and rubbish from construction sites regularly to ensure a safe working environment
Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
Assisting with the disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols
Maintaining cleaning equipment and reporting any faults or damages promptly
Supporting site staff in organising materials and tools to prevent clutter
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assisting with minor maintenance tasks as required
Skills
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites or for equipment movement
Good command of English for effective communication with team members and site managers
Excellent customer service skills to liaise professionally with contractors and visitors when necessary
Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within a busy construction environment
Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor conditions
This role is vital in supporting the successful completion of building projects by maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site. Applicants should be prepared for physically demanding work in varying weather conditions while adhering to all safety guidelines.
