Are you a Domestic Gas Engineer who wants a stable, well-organised role with no sales pressure, real work–life balance, and the chance to genuinely help customers?

Join Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), a place-based affordable housing provider supporting almost 300,000 customers across the southwest, central and east of England. As the UK’s largest provider of new affordable homes, delivering over 3,000 each year, we play a vital role in tackling the growing demand for safe, affordable housing and building a better future for our communities.

Why engineers choose us

We know the market is competitive — so here’s what makes BFL different:

  • No upselling, no targets — just quality work

Unlike many private companies, we won’t push you to squeeze jobs in or sell extras.

  • Stable salary + one of the best out-of-hours payments in the sector

Our on-call rate is £835 per week, plus payments for first-time fixes.

  • Modern van, tools, fuel card, uniform, tablet & phone – all provided

No costs, no hassle — turn up, do the job, and go home.

  • Proper support: local schedulers, clear job slots, realistic workloads

We want you to have the time to do safe, high-quality work every day.

  • Strong benefits & long-term job security

27 days leave + up to 10% pension + £500 benefits allowance + wellbeing support.

If you’re looking for stability, respect, and a role where you can still get home for dinner, this is it!

What we’re looking for

A qualified, customer-focused engineer with:

  • Core gas qualifications (CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1)

  • Experience in domestic installations

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach

  • Ability to work independently and within a supportive team

Enhanced DBS will be arranged for you.

What you’ll get from us

Salary: £43,161.75
Hours: 40 hours Mon–Fri
On-call rate: £835 per week (plus additional first-time fix payments)
