Summary


Due to national investment in smoking cessation, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our smoking cessation team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about public health and has a willingness to develop within this setting.

The post holder will work with the Smoking in Pregnancy Specialist Midwife and other team members in providing individualised stop smoking support to women/people and families in a flexible an innovative way.

This post will contribute to tackling inequalities in health through promoting and supporting people to stop smoking. It focuses on engaging with people in communities and offering them practical support to change their behaviour to achieve their own choices and goals.

It is essential that the post holder can drive and has access to their own transport.

Right to Work in the UK:This role is not availablefor Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.



The post holder will be required to work with supervision, having support to manage own workload and schedule. They will be required to abide by the Trusts policies and procedures.
Provide intermediate stop smoking support throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period, using the support of interventions such as CO monitoring and Nicotine Replacement therapy.

Work with the Smoking in Pregnancy Specialist Midwife to deliver stop smoking support, undertake delivery of the Smokefree pregnancy incentive scheme with those women/people and families who meet the criteria, along with administration of the smokefree pregnancy data collection and collation.

Promote the general health and wellbeing of people who use the service through offering healthy lifestyle advice and support.

Seek out opportunities to develop and implement stop smoking services in a range of health and community settings.
