About the Role
KPMS operates supported accommodation and residential services for looked-after children and care leavers across London, Kent, and the West Midlands. We are a growing organisation focused on delivering high-quality, safe, and well-managed homes, with strong operational systems at the core of our service delivery.
This is a central operational role with responsibility across multiple business functions. The Operations & Business Support Lead ensures that the organisation runs efficiently behind the scenes — with strong systems, clear processes, and full compliance across all areas.
Working closely with the Director of Services & Operations, you will take ownership of coordinating and maintaining the infrastructure that supports service delivery. This includes facilities, compliance, administration, and internal processes across a growing organisation.
This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role suited to someone who is highly organised, methodical, and confident managing multiple priorities at once.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Facilities & Property Operations – managing property readiness, supporting home and void mobilisation, tracking contracts and renewals, coordinating utilities, and ensuring all sites are fully operational and compliant
- Service & Contract Mobilisation – supporting the setup of new services and locations, ensuring all operational, logistical, and compliance requirements are delivered on time
- Operational Coordination & Referrals – managing incoming enquiries and referrals, coordinating processes end-to-end, and maintaining accurate tracking systems and reports
- Compliance, Health & Safety & Audits – ensuring all operational activity is compliant with regulatory and internal standards, with clear documentation and audit trails in place
- People Operations & Safer Recruitment – supporting recruitment processes, onboarding, and maintaining accurate HR records in line with compliance requirements, managing apprenticeships and volunteer programmes
- Supplier & Contractor Management – coordinating external providers, monitoring performance, and ensuring services are delivered effectively and in line with expectations
- Office & Business Operations – ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the offices, maintaining systems, resources, and internal processes
Education and Experience
Applicants must have:
- Proven experience in an operations, business support, project coordination, or similar role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Experience maintaining systems and processes
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with data and record-keeping
- Experience working with compliance, audits, or regulated processes (in any sector)
- Strong IT skills, including Excel or similar tracking tools
- Experience coordinating logistics, projects, or operational delivery (e.g. facilities, onboarding, mobilisation, or similar)
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently
- Full enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake checks
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in multi-site operations, facilities, or property coordination
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment
