Summary

Gymnastics Coach- Haverhill Leisure Centre

Join Our Exciting New Gymnastics Programme!
We’re looking for passionate and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coaches and/or Instructors to join our team at Haverhill Leisure Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our brand-new recreational gymnastics programme for children and young people aged 4–11.
We have 2 positions available and whether you’re a qualified coach or beginning your coaching journey, we’d love to hear from you.

Hours: 5 hours per week (evening and weekend availability required)

Contract: Fixed term post for 1 year

Pay:
Lead Coach- £17.14phr (L1 and British Gymnastics qualification in any discipline required)
Assistant- £15.45phr (minimum Activity Instructor qualification required)

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver recreational gymnastics sessions for children and young people.
• Adapt coaching to suit a variety of ages and ability levels.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment at all times.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents/guardians, and the wider leisure team.
• Encourage enjoyment, confidence-building, and progression in gymnastics.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• British Gymnastics Activity Instructor Qualification
• Safeguarding Certificate
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
• British Gymnastics Coaching Qualification (Level 1 or higher)
• Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
