Summary


The Children and Young People’s Division are looking to recruit an Admission Assistant.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual who enjoys working in a busy, friendly, multi-disciplinary team environment to support us in the delivery of a quality service. You will work collaboratively to provide full administrative services to our Paediatric & Adolescent children and young person’s department at University College London Hospital. This is a permanent full- time role with working hours of 37.5 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, a high degree of empathy, diplomacy, and integrity. You will be required to demonstrate sensitivity; an awareness of patients’ needs and a commitment to improving the patient experience.
As a member of our team, you will have high personal and professional standards and will seek to support those around you to deliver high quality services. This role will also be a cover role for all administrator coordinators within the Paediatric Adolescent and CYPCS Division
• The postholder will be responsible for the following tasks
• Receiving and actioning referrals for Paediatric and Adolescent Patients
• Book admissions and pre-assessment outpatient appointments
• Updating Epic (Trust patient system) with TCI (To come in) dates
• Supporting Clinical team with any administration task
• Processing supporting MDT meetings
• Updating specialities databases
• Reviewing validation actioning Epic Reports and Work Queues
• The postholder will also be required to provide receptionist duties to our CYP Day Care Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday to support with admissions and greeting patients when they arrive
