Summary

About The Role

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Seasonal Grounds Assistant at our Arundel Wetland Centre. This role assists in the delivery of a great visitor experience by keeping public areas safe and well maintained. This includes the living collection areas.

You will assist in the maintenance of designated areas, be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the grounds and contribute to a safe and inspiring site for visitors.

The role will also involve the use of horticultural machinery. The post holder will be required to adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

This is a 6-month, fixed-term contract working 22.5 hours a week.

About You

To join us, you will have:

a good basic education to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
a full current driving licence.
experience of working in visitor services environment.
experience of maintenance and cleaning duties.
prior experience of using horticultural machinery such as tractors, strimmers, mowers etc.
the ability to work independently under general work instructions.
the ability to adhere to Health and Safety regulations to ensure the safety and welfare of colleagues and visitors

Please note this role is not suitable for hybrid working.
