Mobile Plant Technician - Heathrow & Reading
We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable company specialising in plant machinery and heavy goods vehicle maintenance across the M4 corridor between Heathrow and Reading. If you possess strong technical skills and thrive in a mobile position, this Mobile Plant Technician opportunity offers an excellent chance to advance your career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties of this Mobile Plant Technician role:
- Perform major and minor repairs on Plant Machinery, HGVs, Trailers, and other Commercial Vehicles
- Conduct scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on plant and vehicle fleet
- Complete PDI checks and attachment setups on new machinery
- Carry out diagnostic repairs, fault finding, and general maintenance in the field
- Maintain and manage inventory of tools and parts within the company van
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality controls
- Provide timely servicing and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and maximise operational efficiency
Requirements of this Mobile Plant Technician position:
- NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology or Plant Maintenance
- Proven workshop experience as a Plant or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Full UK driving licence with clean driving record
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple locations within the M4 corridor
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Committed to delivering high standards of quality and safety
- Adaptable and flexible to meet the demands of a mobile role
