Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The governors of Gleadless Primary School are seeking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support children with their learning. The post-holder will have experience of working with children across the key stages, including those with additional needs and vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will have additional responsibility as the school’s Sports Leader. This includes organising and leading sporting events and opportunities which complement the school’s PE curriculum.

We are looking for someone who is:

• A skilled and committed team player who can work closely with colleagues to support excellent outcomes for children
• Excellent at building positive and caring relationships with children
• Able to respond positively to the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
• Confident liaising with teachers to plan activities to support pupils’ learning, and providing constructive feedback on their progress
• Able to secure positive social and emotional learning opportunities
• Keen to engage in further professional development to improve provision for children
• Enthusiastic about sports and keen to provide extra-curricular opportunities for children across the school
