The Role

This role is key to modelling excellent practice, supporting staff development, and driving continued improvement in outcomes
across all language-based disciplines. You will act as a Master Teacher of English while providing the strategic oversight
necessary to empower our MFL department.




Key Responsibilities:

* Strategic Oversight: Lead the "Languages" agenda, ensuring English and MFL work in synergy to improve whole-school literacy and
communication.

* Capacity Building: Mentor and develop the internal leadership within the MFL team following their recent departmental
promotion.

* English Excellence: Oversee curriculum design and student outcomes at KS3, KS4, and [KS5].

* Pedagogical Leadership: Model outstanding classroom practice and lead high-impact CPD for staff across both departments.

* Has proven leadership experience or the clear capacity to step into a high-level strategic role.

* Can navigate the nuances of MFL pedagogy to support and challenge a developing team.
