Summary

We're looking for a Carpenter to join our team based in Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Location: Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard Hours: 39 hours per week

KierBAM are a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We're seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required, which can take up to 8 weeks. Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Carpenter, you'll be working within the Works Manager's team, supporting them in delivering high-quality formwork construction within a live MOD facility. Your day to day will include:

-Constructing and setting up formwork for walls, beams, columns, slabs, and foundations, working to design drawings and specifications

-Interpreting technical drawings and measuring, cutting, and assembling formwork materials to specified dimensions

-Ensuring formwork is adequately supported and braced during concrete placement, following approved temporary works drawings

-Removing and maintaining reusable formwork once concrete has set, ensuring materials are ready for future use

-Following all safety protocols, working to approved safe systems, and maintaining quality standards throughout all tasks

What are we looking for?

This role of Carpenter is great for you if:

-You are enrolled onto or have completed NVQ Level 2 in Formwork or Carpentry

-You hold a CSCS Blue Skilled Card

-You have experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

-You are committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards in your work

-You are able to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively
