Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery to perform specific operations or produce parts according to specifications.
- Set up machines, load raw materials, and ensure proper functioning before starting production runs.
- Manually operate machines during production, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
- Unload finished products from machines, inspecting for quality and adherence to standards.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, as well as general operating procedures, applying judgement and selectivity where necessary.
- Maintain control over product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify potential issues or problems with machinery or production processes and escalate when necessary.
- Assist with basic data entry and utilise computer systems for recording production data.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills related to operating machinery.
- Experience working with production or manufacturing equipment is preferred.
- Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Ability to identify issues and problems, with the confidence to seek assistance when needed.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
