Summary

In-Work Support Adviser – Restart Programme
Location: Norwich
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon–Thu 8.30am–5pm, Fri 8.30am–4.30pm)
Salary: £26,500 – £29,858 per annum (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about helping people succeed in work? We’re looking for an In-Work Support Adviser to support participants who have moved into employment, helping them sustain work, overcome barriers and progress in their careers.
You’ll manage a varied caseload, providing personalised, in-work coaching to support wellbeing, mental health and job retention. Working closely with employers, partners, Jobcentre Plus and local specialist services, you’ll advocate for participants, resolve workplace challenges and ensure the right support is in place.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing a caseload of in-work participants and meeting performance, quality and compliance targets
Providing one-to-one and group coaching using effective, person-centred approaches
Supporting wellbeing, mental health and other barriers to sustaining employment
Working with specialist services and agencies (e.g. substance misuse support)
Advocating with employers to resolve retention or progression issues
Supporting job search and interview preparation where required
Developing employer relationships and promoting participants to suitable vacancies
Co-producing tailored in-work support plans with participants and employers
Maintaining accurate, compliant participant records
Contributing to continuous improvement and validating sustainable employment outcomes

Skills and experience:

Minimum 5 GCSEs (grade C/4 or above), including Maths and English
Strong IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience supporting people with disabilities or other barriers to work
Experience working one-to-one and in group settings
Organised, motivated and customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills

Desirable:

Degree-level qualification or equivalent
NVQ Level 3 Advice & Guidance (or equivalent)
Caseload management and target-driven experience
Experience delivering workshops or tailored programmes
