Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN where required
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Prepare classroom resources and maintain a tidy, safe learning environment
- Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and development
- Support safeguarding and promote the wellbeing of all pupils

Essential:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Patient, caring, and supportive approach
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant)
- Experience working in a school setting
- Knowledge of additional learning needs (ALN/SEN)
