Summary

Zenith are partnering with a long‑standing, reputable organisation to recruit a talented Crane Technician. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and optimising the performance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment across a fast‑paced operational site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Crane Maintenance Technician who’s looking to grow their career within a supportive, hands‑on manufacturing environment. We’re particularly keen to speak with individuals who are confident working independently and who enjoy the freedom to take ownership of their work and truly make the role their own

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on cranes and lifting systems.
Conduct scheduled inspections, testing, and routine servicing activities.
Manage maintenance workloads, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed efficiently.
Provide input to improve maintenance routines, schedules, and overall equipment reliability.
Maintain accurate and compliant records for all crane and lifting equipment maintenance activities.
Communicate essential information to management, engineering teams, and colleagues across shifts.
Update stores and parts records during each shift.
Support the training and development of team members as required.

Skills & Experience

Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification.
Previous experience with preventative and reactive maintenance on overhead cranes is essential.

Person Attributes

Experience working under pressure with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks in line with operational needs.
Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Competent computer skills, including familiarity with standard MS Office applications.
Comfortable working at height.
