Workshop Controller
Salary: £30,000 basic + £36,000 OTE
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Mon to Fri 8am to 6pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:30 - 12:30.
A respected, nationwide automotive group is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join its busy Birmingham dealership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced workshop environment and enjoys coordinating people, processes, and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Allocating work to Technicians and ensuring efficiency, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met
- Working closely with Service Advisors to manage workflow and keep customers informed
- Monitoring workshop performance to ensure all jobs are completed within agreed timescales
- Identifying and resolving operational issues quickly and effectively
- Supporting the workshop team to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer care
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, ideally as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator who can work effectively across departments
- A proactive leader who can motivate and support a team to achieve targets
- Professional, solutions‑focused approach with a commitment to customer satisfaction
