Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

As our new Year 1&2 Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning journey of our KS1 children. You will join a collaborative and experienced staff team, working together to maintain our high standards and continue the positive development of our over-subscribed school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire and teach a mixed class of 30 enthusiastic Year 1 and Year 2 children, fostering a love of learning and supporting each child to achieve their best.
• Create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.
• Contribute your ideas and energy to the ongoing development of our school, working closely with colleagues to deliver our bespoke curriculum.
• Embrace opportunities for outdoor learning, including forest school sessions in our nature reserve, to enhance children’s experiences and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff, supporting our strong community spirit.

Further details about the role

Please note: the school has applied to become part of Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust. Whether the conversion goes ahead or not, all staff will be employed to work at Great Ouseburn under standard teachers pay and conditions.
