Pay: £52.02 per hour
2 days in the offices at Swale House and 2.5 days remotely. We would consider 1 office day a week.
Swale are working to an ambitious timetable in order to submit their Local Plan this December and need an experienced Policy Planner to lead on drafting site allocation policies for the chosen housing and employment sites for their upcoming Reg 19 Local Plan. They will also be assisting with reviewing Strategic Policies for the Local Plan and the other necessary documents required to accompany a Reg 19 consultation. Experience of drafting allocation policies is essential.
Examples will be requested.
Experience of taking a Local Plan through a Regulation 19 and an examination is required.
Good teamwork skills are required to work with officers across Place Services and officers in other Council departments in order to draft the allocation policies and ensure that they are fit for purpose.
Ideally the successful candidate will work 2 days at Swale House and 2.5 days remotely but for the right candidate we can reduce it to 1 day per week in the office.
The successful candidate will need to hold a full driving licence as they will need to visit the sites.
