Summary
Key Responsibilities
Care workers support clients in a variety of settings, including their homes, care facilities, or community programs. Core duties include:
Personal care: Assisting with grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support to maintain hygiene and comfort.
Medication support: Prompting or administering medication in line with company policies.
Daily living assistance: Preparing meals, helping with household tasks, and supporting clients in daily routines.
Emotional and social support: Providing companionship, engaging in conversation, and encouraging participation in social or leisure activities.
Monitoring and reporting: Observing changes in clients’ health or behaviour and maintaining accurate records, including visit logs and care plans.
Community integration: Facilitating access to local services, training, or social programs to promote inclusion and independence.
