Summary
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our Diabetes team.
As part of a team of four specialist diabetes dietitians, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive diabetes service supporting people living with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes, including those using insulin pump and hybrid closed-loop technologies. This role is primarily focused on managing an outpatient caseload across Queen Charlotte, Charing Cross & St' Marys hospital .
The post is well integrated within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, offering excellent opportunities for collaborative working alongside the autonomy to further develop your clinical expertise within this specialist area.
You will be joining a well-established and forward-thinking Dietetics department that is committed to continuous professional development and innovation. The role offers a range of opportunities, including involvement in student training, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and proactive Band 7 dietitian who thrives in a busy multidisciplinary environment and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutritional care.
• To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including management of patients in your care and undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
• To provide comprehensive and specialist therapy assessment and diagnosis for patients with a range of highly complex presentations, by utilising advanced clinical reasoning, evidence-based knowledge, investigative and analytical skills and specialist assessment techniques.
• To plan and organise time efficiently and effectively with regard to patient management and use of time. To be accountable for the designated area of work.
• To flexibly manage responsibilities for own complex caseload, service delivery and teaching commitments. To decide priorities for own work, balancing other patient related and professional demands and ensure that these remain in accordance with those of the teams as a whole.
• To employ excellent presentation skills to promote multidisciplinary and interagency liaison and collaborative practice to a broad range of audiences, including other professionals and users.
• Promote a culture of research awareness, research preparedness and activity in the team.
