Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance and Landscaper to join our team based in Newark. This role involves maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard while also carrying out general maintenance tasks to ensure buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and visually appealing.
Working Hours & Location:
• Monday to Friday
• Based in Newark
• Travel to local sites may be required
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and watering
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of outdoor areas, pathways, and parking lots
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely
• Carry out general maintenance tasks such as basic repairs, painting, and minor building upkeep
• Inspect grounds and facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
• Ensure proper storage and care of tools, equipment, and materials
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and planting
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
• Previous experience in landscaping and/or maintenance preferred
• Full, valid driving licence (essential)
• Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment
• Basic knowledge of repair and maintenance work
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good time management and reliability
Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and groundskeeping
• Experience with power tools and maintenance equipment
• Basic plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills
Working Conditions:
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
