Summary


The Fracture Clinic is looking for a Band 5 staff Nurse on a 12 month temporary contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate would need to be flexible and able to work various days Monday- Friday.

The clinic strives to provide optimum quality of care to patients within the Fracture Clinic, both Trauma and Electiveoffering support to the multi-professional team.

30 hours per week

Key duties include assessing injuries, applying splints and boots, changing dressings, managing wound care, educating patients and supporting the clinician in clinics.

Experience within orthopaedics is not essential but preferable due to it covering maternity leave.

JOB PURPOSE
An experienced health care professional competent in all aspects of care planning, who is able to carry out a wide range of clinical skills, including area(s) of specialist clinical expertise and advice within the team e.g.
infection control, by working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. The post holder will also take an active part in the leadership, education, development
and supervision of the team.
