Summary
1. JOB DETAILS
Title : DevOps Engineer
Location : Reading, Berkshire, UK
Responsible to : CI/CD, Packaging/Release automation, Configure infrastructure, performance monitoring, Source code management.
Hours per Week : 37.5
Annual Salary : £45000
Contract : Permanent
• JOB PURPOSE
Build, Test and Maintain the infrastructure and tools for Rapid and continuous development and release of applications.
2. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work on all the stages of the project and will be responsible to design and implementation of DevOps plan and CI/CD pipelines to deliver the applications.
• Designed and managed AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, RDS, CloudFormation) across production and non-production environments.
• Architected and maintained scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure environments.
• Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket, enabling faster and reliable application deployments.
• Managed and optimized Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization
• Containerized applications using Docker and deployed workloads on Kubernetes clusters.
• Managed source code repositories in Git, including branching, merging, and release strategies.
• Developed shell scripts for automation, log management, and deployment activities.
• Configured and deployed Apache web servers and application environments.
• Implemented backup strategies using EBS snapshots and performed root cause analysis for production issues.
• Integrated monitoring solutions into deployment pipelines to support self-healing systems.
• Improved system uptime by implementing proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Involved developing automated RFC process pipelines, reducing operational effort significantly.

• Agile SCRUM process and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
