The Opportunity
We are looking for an Advanced Practitionerwith a broad range of skills and experience to work within our Learning Disability team.
This is an exciting time to join us. You will help to embed excellent practice, champion our values and support colleagues to deliver consistently high standards. Our work is varied, meaningful and always centred around the person.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will:
Work with adults with a diverse range of care and support needs
Manage a smaller, focused caseload involving complex work such as:
Care Act Assessments
Mental Capacity Act assessments
Court of Protection applications
Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
Share your knowledge through supervision, mentoring and on-the-job coaching
Support Vocationally Qualified staff, Social Workers, students and ASYE practitioners
Provide professional leadership within your team and contribute to day-to-day operations alongside the Team Manager
Champion reflective practice, learning and continuous improvement within the service.
This is a hands-on, practice-enhancing role where you will make a real difference to both the people we support and the colleagues you help to develop.
About You
We are looking for exceptional Social Workers who are:
Values-driven
Compassionate, strengths-based and committed to promoting independence and person-centred outcomes.
Skilled and confident
With significant post-qualification experience in local authority, health or voluntary sector settings.
Professionally grounded
Registered with Social Work England
Competent or willing to work toward the Advanced Practitioner level of the Professional Capabilities Framework
Ideally hold a current Practice Educator Level 2 (PEPS) qualification, or be willing to work towards this.
Knowledgeable
With a strong working knowledge of:

Complex safeguarding enquiries
Mental capacity and risk assessment
Comprehensive risk management
Supportive and inspiring
Able to supervise others, support performance, and help embed a positive, forward‑thinking culture.
Collaborative
