Summary
Edgewood Primary School has an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and committed staff.
We are looking for someone to join our very effective Midday Supervisor team. The team works well together and has the freedom to make a lot of decisions themselves about how to run lunchtimes in liaison with the school’s senior leadership team. There may be an element of 1:1 care of specific children. Our school is based in Hucknall in Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidate must:
• Have high standards of behaviour and be able to use positive behaviour management to encourage and promote excellent behaviour.
• Be kind, sympathetic and want the best for all our children.
• Be IT literate to input information onto our school information system (after training on this system).
• Be an excellent communicator with children and all other staff, including fellow middays, teachers, TAs, office staff, kitchen staff and the school’s leadership.
• Keep information confidential. If you are a parent of children at our school it will be absolutely vital that you can maintain total confidentiality within your role as a member of staff and separate that role from your role as a parent. We will be looking for assurances of this at interview. More than anything, we want our school to be filled with people who are enthusiastic about our school and working here. We don’t rest on our laurels and if we don’t think something will work well for our children, we don’t do it. As a school we offer a staff body who can help with your training and help you develop further. We have offered training for Midday Supervisors on behaviour (from internal and external trainers) and safeguarding and are happy to help you if you have other training needs. The school has a thorough commitment to safeguarding (and will expect all candidates to share this commitment and agree to all relevant checks and procedures) and a clear vision and values geared towards improving outcomes for all our children. There is much more information about our school on our website. Visits to the school are strongly encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a date and time. The post is permanent and Grade 1 term time only, working 10 hours per week (2 hours per day).Closing date –Friday 15th May 12 noon.
Interviews will be held the following week. Please let us know on your application if there are any dates/times that week that you are unavailable in case you are shortlisted.
