Summary

Job Title: General Operative / Labourer - HS2 Project

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK
Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Contract
Start Date: Immediate

Company Overview:
We are currently recruiting hardworking and reliable General Operatives to join our team on the HS2 high-speed rail project near Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to gain long-term work on one of the UK's flagship infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting tradespeople and plant operators across the site.

  • Keeping the site clean, safe, and organised.

  • Handling and moving materials as directed by site supervisors.

  • Supporting general construction and groundwork tasks.

  • Following all site health & safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card

  • Previous experience on construction or civil engineering projects.

  • Good attitude, punctuality, and willingness to work as part of a team.

  • UK Driving Licence preferred due to limited public transport access to site.

  • Basic PPE (hard hat, hi-vis, safety boots) - can be provided if needed.

Desirable:

  • Additional site qualifications (e.g. Manual Handling, Banksman, CAT & Genny)

  • Experience working on large infrastructure projects like HS2

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on project needs.
