Summary

Teaching Fellow in Medical Education

We are offering a 12 month fixed term post to an enthusiastic doctor who has satisfactorily completed Foundation Year 2 training to take up an Teaching Fellowship post across Ageing & Complex Care.

Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme). In addition to clinical work as part of Ageing and Complex Care, the main purpose of the post is to deliver medical student education for year 4 students from the University of Manchester. This will include bedside clinical teaching, classroom based teaching, curriculum and teaching materials design and experience in assessment. Students are present for 32 weeks of the year so for the remaining 20 weeks the postholder would work primarily as a clinical fellow within Ageing and Complex Care with the opportunity to work across a number of subspecialty areas including Frailty, Parkinson’s disease, Falls & Stroke medicine.
