Talent Education is working with a supportive secondary school in Tameside to recruit a committed Student Behaviour & Wellbeing Mentor. This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs-helping them re-engage with education, build resilience, and believe in their ability to succeed.

In this impactful position, you will:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Help students develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Support pupils in staying engaged with lessons and daily school routines
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support plans
- Build strong, trusting relationships that promote confidence and resilience
- Contribute to a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
- Has supported pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
- Remains calm, patient, and resilient in all situations
- Builds positive relationships quickly and effectively
- Communicates confidently and works well as part of a wider team
- Feels comfortable supporting pupils aged 11-16 across different subjects
