In addition: If recruited at the level of Senior Medical Lead: The Senior Medical Lead will act as clinical mentor for other doctors in the company who are at various levels of experience. The Senior Medical Lead will deputise for the Clinical Directors as appropriate where they are unavailable. The post holder will work to acquire the knowledge required to perform this role and will liaise with all appropriate outside agencies (including, but not limited to local councils, police, health providers, social care departments) as necessary The post holder will complete level 3 safeguarding course and be able to undertake incident investigative analysis, desk top reviews and contribute to reports. The post holder will work as part of the wider safeguarding team and will lead on the development of medical pathways. The Senior Medical Lead will become Senior Medical Lead (Qualified) after receiving membership of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine (FFLM). All Senior Medical Leads should be working towards this if not already achieved. The Senior Medical Lead will also undertake various other managerial / non-clinical activities as directed from time to time by the Clinical Directors for Custody / SARC. Communicate with outside agencies as required as part of leadership role. Support the delivery of training, including shadowing opportunities for MHL clinicians, SARC/Custody Introduction contributing to the MHL masterclass programme and training to external agencies.
