Summary

Snapdragons Nurseries are currently seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a lively and friendly team at our Redland Nursery. Snapdragons prides themselves on being a family-run business that offers an exceptionally high standard of care as well as having strong relationships with the families that it serves. We have an excellent local reputation and are a growing company who have expanded into Wiltshire, Bath and Bristol. We also offer an in house training programme to encourage the sharing of best practice and ensure that you keep your skills and knowledge up to date

Main Responsibilities:
Childcare & Education

Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development through purposeful play and interactions.
Build warm, trusting relationships with children, promoting their well-being and independence.
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and developmental plans.
Safeguarding & Wellbeing

Ensure children are safe, secure, and supervised at all times.
Follow Snapdragons safeguarding policies, including reporting concerns promptly.
Maintain clean, organised learning spaces and uphold high standards of hygiene and health practices.
Teamwork & Communication

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, sharing updates on their child’s day and development.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development.
Environment & Daily Routine

Set up and pack away resources, ensuring indoor and outdoor environments are inviting and engaging.
Support daily routines, including meals, toileting, nappy changes, sleep time, and transitions.
Model positive behaviour and encourage social interaction and respect among children.
In your role as a nursery practitioner you will need to demonstrate a passion for working with children and be able to inspire and enrich their lives. You will need to be an excellent team worker and be able to show initiative and creative thinking. You must be able to support your Head of Room in delivering outstanding care and be constantly striving for excellence.
