Job Title: Palletiser / Production Operative
Shift: 14.00pm to 22.00pm

Reports to: Operations Manager; Production Managers; Line Controller
Works closely with: Process Operatives, Quality Control Personnel, Warehouse Personnel
Internal contacts: Directors and managers at various levels across the business
External contacts: Equipment suppliers, raw material suppliers, customer auditors

Role Summary
Ensure 100% attainment to production plan. This role ensures that production targets are achieved in line with company policies while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, hygiene, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
Palletiser
• Stack finished bags onto pallets in the correct configuration as specified for each product.
• Ensure pallets are built securely and safely to prevent product damage during storage and transport.

• Check finished products for visible defects and report any issues to the Line Controller or Supervisor.
• Maintain a consistent workflow at the end of the line to support production output and targets.
• Minimise waste and product damage through correct handling techniques.
• Carry out cleaning duties as directed to maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
• Keep the palletising and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
• Comply with all manual handling and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Packer
• Assist in the packing of all food products manufactured by Romix Foods.
• Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with training, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Carry out cleaning duties as directed to ensure production areas meet hygiene and food safety standards.
• Support the achievement of daily production targets and operational plans.
• Contribute to the reduction of production costs through efficient working practices.
• Minimise waste by following correct procedures and reporting issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.

Quality, Food Safety & Hygiene
• Demonstrate competent application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to consistently maintain high standards of food quality and food safety.
• Comply fully with company hygiene policies and procedures while maintaining excellent personal hygiene standards.
• Report any quality, hygiene, or food safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere strictly to the company’s Food Safety, Allergen, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies.
• Recognise and promptly report any food safety or quality concerns.
Teamwork & Flexibility
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with colleagues across departments.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned.
