Works closely with: Process Operatives, Quality Control Personnel, Warehouse Personnel, Technical Team
Internal contacts: Directors and managers at various levels across the business
External contacts: Equipment suppliers, raw material suppliers, customer auditors

Role Overview
The Mixing Operative is responsible for preparing product mixes in accordance with specified recipes, quality standards, and operating procedures. The role ensures accurate documentation, effective equipment cleaning, and strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety requirements, while supporting the achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities
Mixing Operations
• Prepare product mixes to required specifications in line with approved recipes and operating procedures.
• Ensure all mixing activities are completed accurately, with particular attention to batch and lot control.
• Record all mixing data in accordance with Quality Control requirements.
Product Quality
• Ensure all products are approved and released by the Quality Control Department prior to transfer to packing lines.
Equipment Cleaning
• Clean mixing equipment in accordance with documented cleaning procedures.
• Accurately complete all cleaning records to prevent cross-contamination.
Hygiene and Housekeeping
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within all process areas.
• Report any pest control or hygiene issues promptly to the Technical Department.
Health & Safety
• Comply fully with all health and safety legislation.
• Always take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of colleagues.
Training
• Participate in all required training.
• Previous food manufacturing experience or a food hygiene qualification is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
