Summary

If you are a caring, creative, dynamic and reflective classroom practitioner who is committed to making a real difference, developing the whole child and leading passionately on phonics, then the team at Holly Hill Primary would love to hear from you!

The Headteacher and Governors of Holly Hill Primary and Nursery School wish to appoint a full-time class teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team and lead phonics across the school. The position will be in one of our KS1 classes so this could be teaching a Year 1, a mixed Year 1/2 or a Year 2 class.

The successful candidate will work in a team of 3 or 4 with experienced teachers to help, guide, support and share the workload.

We are looking for teachers who:

• Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour who believe that every child can achieve
• Provide children with a happy, safe and exciting learning environment
• Can communicate effectively with children, parents and staff and who can work effectively as part of a team
• Have strong knowledge of teaching and learning and their areas of expertise
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Have experience of strong Key Stage 1 teaching
• Have experience of leading phonics across the whole school and have made a positive impact on phonics outcomes
• Are enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of school
• Love primary school life and are committed to providing the very best for the children in our care
