The Role
As Assistant Manager, you’ll support the Showroom Manager in delivering a high-performing store, ensuring excellent customer service and strong commercial results.
You will:
• Support day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing
• Experience in menswear, fashion, or premium retail
• Background in tailoring, formalwear, or personal styling
• Lead by example to drive sales and customer experience
• Provide personalised styling advice to customers
• Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance development
• Support rota planning and ensure appropriate staffing levels
• Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and financial accuracy
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and stock control
• Support promotions, events, and in-store activity
• Help monitor sales performance and contribute ideas to improve results
Essential Requirements
• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role
• Strong customer service and sales-driven mindset
• Confident ability to work towards and achieve targets
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Organised and proactive approach to daily operations
• Flexible to work weekends and peak trading periods
• Professional presentation and positive attitude
Desirable (Not Essential)
• Experience coaching or developing retail teams
• Knowledge of visual merchandising standards
• Experience in appointment-based or consultative retail environments

• Supporting the manager in running a busy, style-led showroom
• Engaging with customers and delivering a premium shopping experience
• Helping to train and motivate team members
