Description
As an FLT Counterbalance Operative based in Grantham, you will play a key and pivotal role in the company as you will be responsible for operating an FLT to move, lift, load and unload materials from production lines to keep the operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities for Forklift counterbalance
• Operating a counterbalance forklift to lift and transport materials to designated areas.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials to ensure they are directed to the correct streams.
• Monitoring and controlling continuous flow or materials in the factory.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all health, safety regulations, particularly those relating to forklift including conducting routine inspections and maintenance of the forklift. Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring work areas are free of hazards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise for Forklift counterbalance
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Requirements for Forklift counterbalance
• Full-time role based in Grantham.
• 40 hours per week 4pm – midnight
• OT is possibly available.
• £13.43 per hour
• An FLT Licence is required for the unloading of vehicles.
• Work environment is predominantly in a warehouse or processing facility.
• Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
