Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Day/Night Care Assistants to provide high-quality care within a care home setting. The role involves supporting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being around the clock. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering personalised care plans and fostering a warm, respectful environment for all residents. Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support residents in engaging with social activities and recreational pursuits
Monitor residents’ health and report any concerns to senior staff promptly
Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Ensure a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care
Support residents with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during shifts
Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Driving licence is desirable for roles involving community visits or outings
Good communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members
Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records are preferred
Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Awareness of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
