Hours: 22.5 hours per week | 3 days per week | 8:30am - 4pm
Salary: £15,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)

About the Role

As our Exams Officer, you will lead the administration, organisation and day‑to‑day running of the school’s examination system. You’ll work closely with teachers, senior leaders, exam boards and invigilators to ensure every exam — from entries to results — is handled with accuracy, confidentiality and care.

This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in getting things right, and can stay composed even when deadlines are tight.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all exam entries, deadlines and communication with exam boards
Work with teaching staff to gather accurate entry information
Provide staff with key dates, timelines and updates throughout the year
Handle all correspondence from AQA, Edexcel, OCR and other awarding bodies
Ensure coursework is sent to moderators on time
Train, support and update invigilators, including annual checklist reviews
Review and update exam-related policies and procedures
Create the exam timetable, book rooms and share schedules with staff and students
Maintain secure storage and distribution of exam papers
Prepare exam rooms in line with regulations
Accompany exam inspectors and action any recommendations
Coordinate results day: prepare documents, collect results and contact students/families
Provide the Head Teacher with results data and statistics
Lead internal quality assurance for internally assessed work
Support the admin team when capacity allows
Attend relevant training and carry out additional tasks as required
What We’re Looking For

Able to communicate clearly with staff, students, parents and exam boards
Calm, reliable and professional at all times
Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider admin team
A full driving licence holder
Experience in school administration or exams management is beneficial, but strong organisational skills and the right attitude are just as important.

About Us

Bankside College is an exciting new venture near Hanley Castle, Worcester. Working in partnership with the Outcomes First Group and Options Autism, the College will provide a Further Education experience for those aged 16 to 24 year-olds with autism, complex needs and learning disabilities. The main aim of the College is to help its students prepare for adulthood and their next stage in life.

In a new purpose-built building, situated in acres of natural beauty, Bankside College will provide a varied, individualised curriculum to enable its students to gain vocational and independence skills to help them achieve their aspirations. Our staff will work together as a cohesive team, to provide the very best experience for the students which will include practical activities, Maths, English and Digital Literacy. The curriculum will have a focus on individual targets, personal skills and enrichment which will include The Duke of Edinburgh Award. Some students will also take part in supported work experience, social enterprise programmes, and volunteering.

For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are pioneering innovative, evidence-based approaches that deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes for everyone in our care.
