Summary
The core responsibilities of the cleaner are as follows. On occasion, there may be a requirement to carry out tasks not listed below, that are within the reasonable scope of the role. To maintain cleaning standards using recognised quality control procedures in line with relevant practice policies To maintain robust cleaning records to detail activity for audit purposes To follow the cleaning schedule Ensure correct cleaning methods are observed To use cleaning equipment in a safe and effective manner, adhering to manufacturers instructions To replenish consumable items as required (hand towels, toilet roll, etc) To dispose of general waste in line with the practice waste management policy To always adhere to the colour coding system for cleaning equipment, seeking guidance where necessary To ensure all cleaning materials are stored in a safe and secure manner, adhering to COSHH, HASAW and other legislative acts and guidance Undertake legionella flushing of systems within the practice To maintain communication and report any faulty equipment or defects to the Operations manager as soon as practically possible To participate in cleanliness audits and follow audit action plans to rectify any identified areas for improvement
