Horticulture & Landscape Apprentice Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, successful global business as a Horticulture and Landscape Apprentice. About the Role
You will join our Facilities Team and play a key role in maintaining the outdoor areas across our Rotherham sites. Working mainly outdoors throughout the year, you will help ensure our grounds are kept to an excellent standard. You will report directly to the Facilities Manager.
Main Duties
Maintaining site landscaping to a high standard
Caring for lawns, trees, shrubs, hedges, and flowered areas
Operating and maintaining hand tools and power tools
Operating and maintaining lawn‑mowing and grounds‑care equipment
Keeping outdoor areas free from litter and debris
Weeding and general plant care
Watering lawns, trees, and plants
Leaf and debris blowing and collection
General DIY tasks as required
Jet‑washing slabs, buildings, and other surfaces
Snow clearing and gritting during winter
Working flexibly, with occasional overtime when required
Regular standing, walking, reaching, and carrying
Supporting the care of on‑site wildlife (e.g., hedgehogs, bees, rabbits)
Maintaining areas where biodiversity is a key priority
Essential Skills
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Awareness of health and safety practices
Interest in sustainable and environmentally friendly workspaces
Desirable Skills
Previous experience in labouring, grounds keeping, or similar outdoor work

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional weekend work may be required.
