Summary
Dymond Engineering is a leading provider of metal and wood products to the retail industry. We are committed to quality and innovation in our manufacturing processes. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team.
As a Skilled Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for producing our diverse range of in-house mild steel products, ensuring accuracy and integrity. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting short lead times while adhering to quality and safety standards. Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with a supportive team to achieve outstanding results.
4 day week working 39 hours per week, 7 - 5.15 Monday to Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate non-automated CNC press brakes.
• Safely set up and operate other workshop equipment such as drills, mills, saws, and guillotines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Competently use quality checking equipment.
• Contribute to best practice manufacturing methods and bring innovative approaches to the team.
Requirements:
• Preferably apprentice trained and time served.
• Minimum of 5 years of workshop experience in a small to medium-sized sheet metal environment.
• Demonstrated ability to set non-automated CNC press brakes and other workshop equipment.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using quality checking equipment.
• Must be organised and a good team worker.
• Ability to contribute to best practice manufacturing methods and bring innovative solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
