Summary
The Minister of Religion will provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and religious teaching within Christ Enlightened Outreach Ministries. The role includes leading worship, preaching, and supporting the spiritual development of the congregation, with a particular focus on engaging and supporting international students.
Job Purpose
To support the Senior Pastor in delivering religious services, teaching biblical doctrine, and providing pastoral oversight to members of the church. The role will also involve developing and leading a student-focused ministry to support international students in their spiritual growth and integration into church life.
Key Responsibilities
Core Ministerial Duties (PRIMARY)
Lead and conduct regular worship services, prayer meetings, and religious programmes.
Preach and teach biblical doctrine in line with Pentecostal and Evangelical beliefs.
Provide pastoral care, counselling, and spiritual guidance to church members.
Conduct religious ceremonies including baptisms, weddings, and funerals (where applicable).
Support the overall spiritual direction and growth of the church.
Student Ministry (SECONDARY)
Lead and coordinate a student-focused ministry within the church.
Develop programmes that support the spiritual growth of international students
Encourage student participation in worship, discipleship, and church activities.
Provide pastoral support tailored to the needs of international students.
Engage in outreach and evangelism targeted at student communities.
Person Specification
Degree in Theology, Ministry, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in pastoral or ministerial leadership.
Strong understanding of Pentecostal Christian doctrine.
Born-again Christian with demonstrable commitment to the faith.
Experience working with diverse communities, including young people.
Strong preaching, teaching, and communication skills.
Ability to provide spiritual counselling and leadership.
Willingness to align fully with the church’s doctrine and leadership structure.
DBS check required.
