Hours: 9am – 5pm, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends
Pay: £16–£17 per hour
DBS Check: Current DBS required
Driving Licence: Essential
Role Overview
The family is seeking an experienced and highly organised temporary housekeeper to provide full cover for two weeks. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, professionalism and the ability to maintain high standards within a busy private household.
Key Responsibilities
Performing daily cleaning duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and general upkeep
Managing all laundry tasks: washing, ironing, daily bed changes and careful wardrobe management (experience with high‑value garments essential)
Dusting and cleaning shelves, blinds, ceilings, windowsills and other surfaces
Polishing silverware, dishes and other household items as required
Cleaning and sanitising furniture and fixed items
Inspecting rooms and communal areas to ensure they remain tidy, well‑maintained and free of waste
Conducting regular inventory checks in shared bathrooms and replenishing consumables
Ensuring the home is well organised, with items stored correctly
School drop‑off and pick‑up as requested
Purchasing and preparing simple meals
Supporting holiday activities for children if required
Running errands for the household or business (driving licence required)
Carrying out any additional duties in line with the family’s needs
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in private household housekeeping
Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and maintain discretion
Flexibility with working hours
Current DBS check
Full, clean driving licence
