Support Worker – Driver Required
Location: Borehamwood
Calling all compassionate, caring and motivated individuals!
Mencap is looking for dedicated Support Workers (Drivers) to join our fantastic team in Borehamwood.
As a Support Worker, you’ll have the chance to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities. You’ll work with a diverse group of individuals, each with their own unique strengths, personalities, and support needs.
From supporting with everyday activities to offering emotional encouragement and companionship, your role will be varied, rewarding, and truly meaningful.

What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- A genuine passion for supporting others
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, meaningful relationships
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- A positive, empathetic, and person-centred approach
- A full UK driving licence (essential for this role)


⏰ Contract option

- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week


Shift patterns
Our services provide 24-hour care, and rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance, giving you the flexibility to plan your personal and social life.

- Day shifts: Between 07:00 – 22:00
- Sleep-ins: 22:00 – 07:00
- Sleep-in payment: Enhanced flat-rate payment of £63.70 per sleep-in


*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
