What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a teacher who:
• Works effectively as part of a team
• Is a strong and clear communicator
• Has a good understanding of the principles of Early Years and how this would look in Key Stage1.
• Understands how children learn and develop
• Contributes actively to the wider life of the school
• Fosters a nurturing, inclusive classroom while maintaining high expectations for all pupils
• Collaborates confidently with teaching assistants and shares responsibility for classroom provision
• Is open to sharing ideas and supporting colleagues
• Demonstrates honesty, professionalism, and a commitment to safeguarding
• Is willing and able to travel across our Federation for meetings and shared PPA time
• Is able to adapt provision to meet the needs of their pupils!
• Understands the need to be flexible and supportive within a small setting.

Have you got a passion for power of play and strong knowledge of continuous provision? Do you think that continuous provision should not stop in Year R? If so, we could be the right school for you! We are looking for a member for our team, to teach in our Year 2/3 mixed age class.As a school we already promote continuous provision in Year R and Year 1 and are looking to extend this into Year 2 and 3!We also have great grounds and are really keen to develop our outdoor learning provision, whilst achieving great standards!As a school, we work collaboratively with Burley Primary, sharing practice and resources and meeting together at each school site for staff meetings and collaborative working. Benefiting from being part of Hampshire, we are still a local authority school and proud of it!
This role will include 2.5 days of class based responsibility and 0.5 PPA cover in another class.
